WaysToHelp.org Privacy Policy

 

Thank you for visiting the Internet web site located at WaysToHelp.org ("Site"), which is operated by Network for Social Responsibility ("NSR" or "we" or "us"), the umbrella organization of WaysToHelp.org. This Privacy Policy details certain policies governing NSR's use of personally identifiable information about users of our Site.  This Privacy Policy is hereby incorporated by reference into the WaysToHelp.org Terms of Use.

 

Children's Privacy

 

NSR recognizes the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests.  This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13, and NSR does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.

 

Collection and Use of Personal Information

You may also utilize certain features on the Site that are provided and controlled by third party social networking services that are linked to this Site ("Third Party Features").  To use a Third Party Feature, such as "Facebook Connect," you must log into your account on the applicable third party website or through a dialogue box for that website that may be available on our Site.  If you use Third Party Features, you are responsible for configuring your privacy settings for your account on that third party website.

 

By default, the third party entities that provide Third Party Features place cookies on your machine to help recognize your log-in status and permit you to access the Third Party Features enabled on our Site. Registering for Volunteer Opportunities

 

When you click on the link that says "find volunteer opportunities" from any page of this Site, you will be shown content from a third party site such as VolunteerMatch within a frame on our Site ("Third Party Volunteer Opportunity Frame").  The Third Party Volunteer Opportunity Frame provides visitors to our Site with the opportunity to search for volunteer opportunities that match certain search criteria.  To use this feature, you may be asked to register.  The collection, use and disclosure of the information that you submit through any Third Party Volunteer Opportunity Frame, including, without limitation, disclosure of your personally identifiable information, may be made to any organization for which you indicate you may volunteer.

 

Any information you provide or that is collected through the Third Party Volunteer Opportunity Frame is governed by that third party's own privacy policy which will be accessible through a link contained within the frame.  We provide access to Third Party Volunteer Opportunity Frames as a convenience to you. This feature is not intended as an endorsement of or a referral to any particular organization or service.
