Health - HIV/AIDS

Grant Ideas

Do you have a great idea for a project related to HIV/AIDS? Let us know what it is and we could give you up to $500 to make it happen.

Here are examples of other ideas we liked.

Hold a series of fundraisers and generate awareness.
Have an AIDS awareness week at your school. Present the facts on posters and in assemblies/meetings to interested students. Hold fundraisers to benefit research for, or treatment of, HIV/AIDS patients. Do this leading up to your local AIDS walk and register as many students and families as you can.
Start a speaker series.
Start a monthly speaker series. Invite a group of local public health specialists to come speak on: the state of HIV/AIDS infections globally and locally, current treatment options, prevention programs, etc.
Create and present educational materials.
Create educational materials to help others understand the state of the HIV/AIDS pandemic and what they can do to protect themselves and their families from the disease. Translate your materials into short YouTube videos and/or presentations that can be delivered to local schools, shared on Facebook or presented at community health fairs.
Sponsor a child.
The world has over 15 million orphans whose parents have died from AIDS. Sponsor a child through World Vision and make a difference in their life.
