Patronize thrift stores
Shop at, and donate to, thrift stores and second hand stores.
Use rechargeable batteries
Rechargeable batteries generally last 20–30 times longer than disposable batteries.
Buy reusable products
Purchase and use reusable products vs. disposable razors, lighters, pens, or foam/paper plates or cups.
Help charities and others
Donate items you no longer want, or list them for sale in your local or online classifieds (i.e. Craigslist and eBay) rather than throwing them out.
