Grant Ideas

Do you have a great idea for a project related to Clean Water? Let us know what it is and we could give you up to $500 to make it happen.

Here are examples of other ideas we liked.

Sell water and raise awareness.
Buy or rent a water vending machine for your school, church, park district, etc. Make sure the signs on the machine mention your mission. Donate the profits to an organization like Charity: Water that is committed to improving access to clean water worldwide.
Fundraise and raise awareness.
Organize a series of fundraisers to generate awareness of the world's lack of access to clean water. Consider sporting events/tournaments, talent shows/competitions, dance, car washes, bake sales, garage sales, merchandise sales (i.e. T-shirts or reusable water bottles with your school's logo, etc.). Donate the profits to an organization like Charity: Water that is committed to improving access to clean water worldwide.
Clean your environment.
Work with your city manager or local park officials to organize a series of environmental clean-ups around your local waterways. Make sure snacks, garbage bags, and gloves are available. You may need to provide transportation for younger participants.
Learn and teach others about water issues in your town.
Arrange for a water pollution/conservation field trip with your fellow students at your local water treatment plant and/or your local parks and recreation department. Capture the event on video and post a short video presentation on YouTube about what you learned and/or create a presentation you can take to local schools to promote responsible care of the water supply.
